Grayson’s story is a long one. On March 28, 2014, my wife, Heather, entered GBMC in full labor at 23 weeks and 1 day into her pregnancy. I was in Boston at the time. She was told the baby would have a less than 35 percent chance of living. He was born weighing 1 pound, 15 ounces and was sent to the NICU – where he was placed on a ventilator and into an incubator – immediately after birth.       Watch the video...

Women in prayer shawl ministries put care and prayer into their creations


The wool shawl is knitted in bands of yellow and lavender. It's big enough to wrap around your shoulders, which is the first thing Carol Leonard had done every morning since she received it. The shawl is cozy and warm but it was also, to Leonard, a patient at Stella Maris Hospice, "a work of love. It's such a comfort that someone made this for me." Read more...
